Charge Calculator

Calculates the cost and time to charge.

You can use the fields below to give you an idea about the cost and time it will take to charge.

Vehicle

The estimated range of the EV when fully charged. Ideally this should be the real range, not the 'certified' or WLTP value as often this is way above the real value.

Total, useable, capacity of your EV's battery (can be found in the manual).

kWh

Charging

How much you pay per kilowatt-hour (kWh) of electricity.

The power output of the charger you are using. In the UK, most home chargers are 7kWh.

Shows how an EV's charging speed changes as the battery fills. Fast charging starts quickly but slows down, especially after 80%, to protect the battery.

Disclaimer: This is just for fun. It is an estimate based on assumptions and basic calculations. Your actual charging rates and speeds depend on many factors. Charging speeds can decline at around 80%.
